Saanich is located at the southern End of Vancouver Island and is the largest district in the 13 municipalities and districts within Greater Victoria. It is also the most populated on Vancouver Island of 120,000 residents. The urban, and rural community is home to many small and large businesses, farmers, artists, and entrepreneurs. Saanich borders six other districts including Victoria City and is home to the University of Victoria, and Camosun College.
